My Favorite Abstract Painting Supplies

Paint
GOLDEN acrylic paint. You won’t be disappointed!

Mediums
Use these to extend paint and as a adhesion for collage. A staple for the acrylic painter or mixed media artist’s studio

Brushes
Having a variety of shape and sizes are ideal for achieving interesting brush strokes. A big, wide brush is a must. Silver Brush are my “go-to” brushes. Here are a few of my favorites.

Paper
Working on paper (instead of canvas) is great for exercises, play and for finished work. Strathmore Mixed Media is my favorite paper but any mixed media, acrylic or watercolor paper that is at least 140lb is good for acrylics.

Mark Making Tools
Making a variety of marks create interesting and expressive paintings. You don’t need fancy tools. A pencil and sharpie work great but there is a plethora of fun and interesting tools out there to try….
